Jazz arena to get back its old name
Vivint Arena, the home of the Utah Jazz, will get its original name in summer. Andy Larsen of Salt Lake Tribune reports that starting from July 1, 2023 the venue will be re-named to Delta Center.
It was the first name of the arena since its opening in 1991 until 2016. The details of the new naming rights deal have not been disclosed, but the Jazz owner Ryan Smith expects it to last ‘decades.’
The name Delta Center hails from Delta Air Lines, a major airline company that has a hub in Salt Lake City.
