Former NBA Sixth Man of the Year Jason Terry provided an uplifting update about Nate Robinson’s ongoing recovery.

The current Utah Jazz assistant revealed on Sports Illustrated’s Landon Buford that he talked with Robinson recently and is now in good spirits.

“I spoke to Nate the other day” Terry said, via Celtics Wire’s Cameron Tabatabaie. “He’s in good spirits. He’s getting treatment, and hopefully one day he’ll be back healthy. That’s what we’re all praying for. He has the support from all his brothers.”

Robinson announced in mid-October that he is undergoing treatment for Renal Kidney failure. He then received widespread support, thoughts and prayers from players, fans and peers.

Drafted as the No. 21 overall pick of the 2005 Draft, the 38-year-old Robinson started his career in New York Knicks (2005-2010) before playing for the Boston Celtics (2010-2011), Oklahoma City Thunder (2011), Golden State Warriors (2012), Chicago Bulls (2012-2013), Denver Nuggets (2013-2015), Los Angeles Clippers (2015) and New Orleans Pelicans (2015).

He won three Slam Dunk contest competitions during his playing career and explored stints overseas following time in the NBA.
