James Harden had an unusually low scoring game against the Spurs. The 33-year-old superstar scored just 12 points in 40 minutes of play as the 76ers remained winless after three regular season games.

San Antonio’s head coach Gregg Popovich did not give credit to his players for Harden’s poor performance. Instead he attributed it to the Sixers’ star.

“He’s a special player. Nobody stops him,” Pop said about Harden, via Justin Grasso. “When he gets stopped, he stops himself. … When he’s in shape, and he’s ready to play, he’s a special dude, without any doubt.”

This season Harden is averaging 26 points, 8.3 rebounds and 9.3 assists in 39.3 minutes per game for Philadelphia.
