In addition to hitting the stage for the first time in years, he’ll also take home the Global Icon Award, an honor that’s only been given to the Foo Fighters (in 2021) and Red Hot Chili Peppers (in 2022).
“It’s surreal,” the 53-year-old shared in a Sept. 11 Instagram post about the award. “I’m like, what the f–k. It’s a blessing because you work hard for a reason. And maybe one day your life work will be able to be honored.”
He added, “It’s a dream come true.”
As if that weren’t exciting enough, Diddy is also nominated in four categories, including Best Collaboration for both “Gotta Move On” (featuring Bryson Tiller, Ashanti and Yung Miami) and Metro Boomin‘s “Creepin’ (Remix).”
