Giants open as 4.5-point road favorites vs. Panthers in Week 10
The New York Giants (2-7) have opened as 4.5-point road favorites over the Carolina Panthers (2-7) for their Week 10 game this Sunday at Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany.
It’s the first time in 25 games the Giants have been listed as favorites. The last time they were favored in a game was in Week 2 last season against the Arizona Cardinals on the road.
The Giants were 4.5-point favorites then as well. They won the game, 31-28, but failed to cover the spread.
The over/under for the upcoming game opened at 42.5 total points and the moneyline is currently Giants -225, Panthers +180, per BetMGM.
This will be the 13th regular season meeting between the Giants and Panthers since Carolina entered the NFL as an expansion team in 1995. Carolina leads the series, 7-6, with the Giants winning the last two.
This will mark the fourth time the Giants have played a regular season game in Europe but the first in Germany. Their other three games were all played in England. The Giants are 3-0 in those games.
The Giants played a preseason game against the San Diego Chargers in Berlin in 1994, a 28-20 victory.
This will be the Panthers’ second International game. They defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in London in 2019.
The Panthers have been building their brand in Germany for the past few years as part of the NFL Global Marketing Program. They will be the “host” team for this game.
The Giants have lost four in a row after falling to the Washington Commanders, 27-22, at home on Sunday. They are 3-6 against the spread this season with six of their nine games going under.
The Panthers’ 23-33 victory over the New Orleans Saints at home on Sunday snapped a five-game losing streak. They are 2-7 against the spread this season and seven of their nine games have gone over.
