The Jacksonville Jaguars completed an interview with New York Giants assistant general manager Brandon Brown for their vacant GM job earlier this week, but there will be no follow-up.

On Saturday, the Jaguars announced that they would move forward with a second round of interviews for five candidates and Brown was not among them.

In addition to his interview with the Jaguars, Brown also received both a virtual and in-person interview with the Las Vegas Raiders, the most recent of the two coming in late January.

It’s the second consecutive cycle in which Brown was considered a finalist (Raiders) but failed to land a job.

Last year, Brown interviewed with the Los Angeles Chargers and Carolina Panthers but was ultimately passed over.

Current Giants general manager Joe Schoen signed Brown away from the Philadelphia Eagles in 2022 after he had spent five seasons with the team, serving in multiple roles, including director of pro scouting and director of player personnel.
