Giants awarded CB Christian Holmes off waivers, cut RB Corbin
The New York Giants were awarded cornerback Christian Holmes off waivers on Monday. To make room on the roster, they waived/injured running back Jashaun Corbin.
Holmes, 26, was a seventh-round pick of the Washington Commanders in the 2022 NFL draft out of Oklahoma State. He began his college career at Missouri and transferred to OSU in 2019.
Holmes has appeared in 30 games over the past two seasons for Washington with two starts. He amassed 20 total tackles and recovered two fumbles.
Corbin appeared in six games for the Giants in 2023 after being signed as a UDFA out of Florida State two summers ago.
