Moore announced Monday that she is walking away from professional basketball.

Moore played all of his eight seasons in Minnesota, bagging four WNBA championships, a league MVP award in 2014 and multiple All-WNBA Team selections. She was also named as a member of the WNBA’s 25th Anniversary Club back in 2021.
On the international stage, she helped the United States’ women’s basketball program to dominate the sport, winning gold medals in 2012 London and 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic games. She also lend her service on the U.S. gold medal finishes for both 2010 and 2014 FIBA Women’s basketball World Cup.
Moore tallied a WNBA career average of 18.4 points, 5.9 boards, 3.3 assists and 1.7 steals in 271 total games played for the Lynx.
“I think it is time to put a close to the pro basketball life. I walked away four seasons ago, but I wanted to officially retire,” Moore said on her guesting on Good Morning America, via Kelly McCarthy. “This is such a sweet time for us and our family and the work that we’ve done; I want to continue that in this next chapter. I want to continue to be present at home, for our community, and also doing work with our nonprofit — hangin’ it up.”
