Ex-Warriors’ Assistant Coach Brian Scalabrine Says, If Steve Nash Wants To Coach, He’ll Get Another Opportunity
Earlier this season, following Steve Nash’s dismal by the Brooklyn Nets and the promotion of Jacque Vaughn. Shortly after that made headlines, a Source spoke with LandonBuford.com and shared will coach again.
“He will be a coach again if that is what he chooses to do. Either as an assistant or a head coach. This won’t hurt him moving forward,” said the Source.
In a recent interview, former Warriors assistant coach turned tv analyst Brian Scalabrine was asked about Nash potentially coaching again.
“I don’t know if he wants to. He might; he might not,” said Scalabrine.
“It’s a situation where you know they were up 2-0 on Milwaukee, and no one was talking about how bad of a job Steve Nash is doing. Then he had some unforeseen circumstances now he’s out so my guess is if he wants to coach, he’ll get another opportunity.”
Steve Nash is one of the best applicants to be called the best Phoenix Suns player in the franchise’s history. When the Suns picked him up in 1996, they probably hoped that the University of Santa Clara leader would significantly impact the team. He was confident he could handle it.
“Probably a little bit like Michael Jordan at first,” Nash replied when asked what type of player he would be for Phoenix during a press conference sometime after the 1996 NBA Draft.
