EuroBasket 2025 Qualifiers Draw seedings revealed
The stage is set for an intense battle on the basketball court, as the EuroBasket 2025 Qualifiers draw seedings have been officially announced.
The road to the tournament, which will be the 42nd edition of the EuroBasket championship, is now clearer as all 32 participating teams gear up for the journey ahead.
After the completion of the Pre-Qualifiers, all 32 participating teams have been confirmed, and Denmark’s thrilling victory secured their place in the tournament alongside Bulgaria, Croatia, and Slovakia as the four group winners from the Third Round of the Pre-Qualifiers.
The remaining 28 national teams earned their spots in the Qualifiers through either the FIBA World Cup 2023 European Qualifiers or the Second Round of the EuroBasket Pre-Qualifiers, ensuring a diverse and competitive lineup.
The teams have been divided into eight pots for the draw based on their previous performances:
- Pot 1: Spain, France, Serbia, Slovenia.
- Pot 2: Lithuania, Greece, Italy, Germany.
- Pot 3: Czech Republic, Poland, Turkey, Montenegro.
- Pot 4: Finland, Croatia, Ukraine, Latvia.
- Pot 5: Belgium, Georgia, Israel, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
- Pot 6: Hungary, Estonia, Netherlands, Bulgaria.
- Pot 7: Great Britain, Iceland, Sweden, North Macedonia.
- Pot 8: Portugal, Denmark, Slovakia, Cyprus.
The Qualifiers Draw is scheduled to take place on August 8 in Munich. The Qualifiers will be contested across three windows: February 19-27, 2024, November 18-26, 2024, and February 17-25, 2025, with each team playing two games in every window.
The top three teams from each group (excluding the groups co-hosted by Cyprus, Finland, Poland, and Latvia) will secure their places in the Final Round. In groups hosting the four co-host nations, the host country and the two other highest-ranked teams will earn their spots in the EuroBasket 2025.
EuroBasket 2025 will take place from 27 August to 14 September 2025, co-hosted by Latvia, Cyprus, Finland, and Poland.
