Elden Ring Drops to Just £30 on PS5 and Xbox After the Black Friday Sales
Anticipation continues to build as gamers are eagerly awaiting updates on the forthcoming Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. In the meantime, the base game is currently available at a discounted price in the UK. Select retailers are offering the game for a reduced rate of at least £29.99, a noteworthy markdown from the £49.99 RRP. Given the expansive nature of the game, this discount should be deemed substantial, particularly when contrasted with the potential £69.99 price tag that other publishers might command for a similar gaming experience in 2023.
Shadow of the Erdtree was announced in March as a major expansion for Elden Ring, but FromSoftware has yet to indicate a release date despite the game approaching its second anniversary. The game has had just one other piece of DLC content added to the game since launch, which came in the form of the Colosseum multiplayer update. It hasn’t been confirmed how much content Shadow of the Erdtree is set to include, but it will be the first single-player expansion available for Elden Ring.
The base version of Elden Ring returned a 10/10 in IGN’s review. “Elden Ring is a massive iteration on what FromSoftware began with the Souls series, bringing its relentlessly challenging combat to an incredible open world that gives us the freedom to choose our own path,” we said.
