Other than its remarkable title triumph, the 2008 Boston Celtics team gave a long lasting brotherhood impression on the part of Eddie House.

In an interview with Brandon “Scoop B”  Robinson, House detailed his notable experience with that Cs championship batch, praising its teamwork, unselfishness, camaraderie, and the mixture of their veteran and emerging guys.

(h/t Nico Martinez of Fadeaway World):

“KGL post, pick-and-pop, pick-and-roll. Paul: iso. Ray: coming off screens, iso if he need to, got the dagger. You got three guys who could be closers: KG, Paul, and Ray, and each one would say ‘well it’s your turn to do it tonight.’ Nobody was like ‘it’s mine, move out the way.’ It was just however the game was flowing and Doc had a real good feel for that whole team, that locker room especially because he knew when to push, when to pull back, when to give us rest, he knew when we had to put our foot on the gas and work a little harder. It was just a perfect mix of older guys and then getting the right other guys to come in.”

The 2007-2008 campaign served as a perfect storm for the Celtics to be back on top of the league’s compelling pantheon. Following the formation of their ‘Big Three’ in Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen, added by the developing Rajon Rondo, and the reliable presence of their bench mob, they dominantly compiled a 66-16 regular season record en route to the full homecourt advantage of the postseason.

The Cs’ first title since 1986 cannot be sweeter enough after pulverizing the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA Finals. The victorious run gave the trio their first official title, wherein Garnett can only feel those overwhelming emotions.

Though that core only managed to win one title upon their existence from the past era, no one can deny that they were a dominant team who had their deserving golden moment.
