Dwight Howard names Donald Trump as his dream podcast guest
Former NBA star Dwight Howard recently revealed that his dream podcast guest would be U.S. President Donald Trump. Howard, who launched his own podcast, shared his reasoning in a conversation with Front Office Sports.
“My dream podcast guest. This is going to be crazy. It’s going to turn a lot of heads. I want to talk to Donald Trump,” Howard said. He explained that he would like to see beyond the public image and discuss Trump’s journey, challenges, and personal experiences.
“We see people online, we see people in the media or the face that they put on when they’re on TV or whatever may be a little bit different than how they carry themselves and how they move when they’re not on camera or stuff like that,” the former No. 1 draft pick said. “So go talk to him about upbringing, how did he get to where he is today being a president and how difficult it is.”
Howard acknowledged the difficulty of holding the highest office in the country. “I don’t think people understand the tough assignment of being the president,” he said. “It’s like being a king in your own land.” He clarified that his interest was in understanding the role rather than endorsing any political figure.
Trump, who won the 2024 presidential election in a landslide, has been a frequent guest on popular podcasts. During his campaign, he appeared on The Joe Rogan Experience, Theo Von Show, PBD Podcast, and Andrew Schulz’s podcast, among others.
