Draymond Green after loss vs Hornets: “We never lose those games”

The Warriors held a four-point lead against the Hornets with 1 minute left to play in the fourth quarter, but allowed their opponents to tie the game and force an overtime.

During the addition five minutes of play it was Charlotte that played better and took the win 120-113, despite missing their two starting guards LaMelo Ball and Terry Rozier.

After the game Draymond Green talked about Golden State not holding on the lead that they had and how rare it is for them to do that.

“I think we were up four with a minute left. We never lose those games. We don’t need to score another point, unless they foul, then we got to knock our free-throws down which I missed two by the way.

“We don’t lose games that we hold leads like that. Not deflating from ‘Oh man those defensive plays were wasted’ stand point. Just deflating for a stand point I can probably recall on one hand over the last 8 years the amount of games that we’ve lost up four with one minute to go. It is deflating from that stand point.”
