A Disney theme park influencer died after she suffered a horrific allergic reaction during a holiday event, according to reports. She was 34.

Dominique Brown was attending a food event hosted by pop culture-themed merchandise retailer BoxLunch in Los Angeles on Dec. 5 when the heartbreaking medical emergency took place.

The Long Beach-based content creator unknowingly ate a food item that contained ingredients she was allergic to, according to the Daily Mail, sourcing other attendees.

The vlogger “instantly felt bad” and immediately went to the hospital, according to a social media user on X who claimed to know her.

“She was my mom’s best friend of 10 years,” X user @hideyagrannies wrote on the platform. “She asked if there was peanuts in the food and everyone told her no.”

PEOPLE reported that Brown received CPR at the event and 911 was immediately called.

“We are devastated by the passing of Dominique Brown, a beloved member of the BoxLunch Collective, who suffered a medical emergency at an event hosted by BoxLunch on Thursday in Los Angeles,” a BoxLunch wrote in a statement to the outlet.

“Our hearts go out to her family and friends, and we will do everything we can to support them and the members of the BoxLunch Collective and our team during this painful time.”

Brown’s official cause of death was not released.

The California native’s brother, Patrick Ramos, spoke out about her death in the comment section of her final Instagram post where she filmed herself smiling and joking around while wearing a Winnie the Pooh-themed outfit inside of a Disney store.

“I wanted to take a moment to say thank you to her social media fam for showing her so much love and light,” Ramos said. “Disney did bring her joy, but it was unparalleled that she found a community who loved her and Disney as much as she did. I will miss my sister and best friend and that infectious smile she always had. Thank you, truly, from the bottom of my heart.

In the Disney enthusiast’s final post, she credited BoxLunch for the Winnie the Pooh-themed sweater.

Brown most recently attended the “Moana 2” premiere and often posts about new rides and experiences that Disney has to offer.

On top of content creation, she helped co-create BlackGirlDisney with her friend Mia Von, a Dallas-based real estate agent, to bring more women of color into the Disney influencer space.

Last year, NYU Langone doctor Kanokporn Tangsuan died when she allegedly had an allergic reaction to the food she ate at a restaurant in Disney Springs, according to a lawsuit filed by her husband Jeffrey Piccolo.

According to the lawsuit, Tangsuan told the waitstaff at Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant that she had a nut and dairy allergy multiple times on Oct. 5, 2023.

The staff reportedly insisted that they could make Tangsuan’s meal dairy-free so she ordered broccoli and corn fritter, scallops and onion rings but shortly after the meal ended, she collapsed and died at a local hospital.
