Derrick White is the favorite to replace Kawhi Leonard on Team USA for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Leonard’s participation is in doubt due to ongoing knee issues that sidelined him during the NBA playoffs.
If Leonard cannot play, White is considered the top choice to take his spot. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported (h/t RealGM) that White is under serious consideration for the team.
White’s selection would place him alongside his Boston Celtics teammates Jayson Tatum and Jrue Holiday on the national squad.
