DeMar DeRozan and Bulls engage in preliminary extension talks
DeMar DeRozan, the standout shooting guard for the Chicago Bulls, has entered the final year of his current contract, and both the player and the team are showing a keen interest in securing a contract extension.
According to Jamal Collier of ESPN, “DeRozan, 34, is entering the final season of his contract and is set to earn $28.6 million. The Bulls have expressed interest in re-signing DeRozan to a long-term deal, and the two sides have had preliminary talks negotiating an extension, sources told ESPN.”
DeRozan had a remarkable season last year, averaging 24.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 5.1 assists in 36.2 minutes per game. His outstanding performance earned him his sixth NBA All-Star selection.
