Los Angeles Lakers coach Darvin Ham is keeping his head high amid the ongoing downside of his team this season.

The Lakers have stumbled for the fifth-straight game, losing against the Sacramento Kings, 120-114, this Friday inside the agonized Staples Center.

“At the end of the day, we all just got to be on the same page, be together, compete together and be accountable,” Ham said, per Los Angeles Times’ Broderick Turner. “And me at the top of that list. My staff and I, we feel these losses more than anybody. Well, just as great as anybody. We’re eager to get to work to try to correct some things.”

Amid another defeat, the Lakers found some silver linings to be grateful for. Anthony Davis had 24 points and 14 rebounds, Westbrook pulled up 21 points, 11 assists and five turnovers and Austin Reaves tallied 19 points – a total team effort with LeBron James sitting down.

But it was the miserable defensive night and late game inconsistency that took a huge swing out of their fortunes.

Following the loss, the Lakers are now posting a 2-10 record, tied with the Houston Rockets for the league’s worst record to commence this season. As such, Ham noted that there should be an “urgency” now flowing within the team to save their campaign.

“We know there is a sense of urgency there where we have to get on the right side of these games,” Ham said. “For me, I can’t go ball up in a corner with my baby bottle and start crying and whining.

“I got to step the hell up. That’s what I plan to do. Me and my staff, everybody in that building. We got to pull together and try to make this thing work.”
