Clippers to convert Josh Primo’s contract
The Los Angeles Clippers are planning to convert the contract of Josh Primo, the 12th pick in the 2021 NBA draft, from a two-way deal to a standard NBA contract, according to NBA insider Shams Charania.
The Clippers are also signing 28-year-old shooting guard Xavier Moon to a two-way contract.
This transition signifies a new phase in Primo’s career, offering him the opportunity to establish a more permanent presence within the Clippers’ lineup.
Primo’s journey to the Clippers has been marked by ups and downs. He was initially waived by the San Antonio Spurs on October 28, 2022, following allegations of inappropriate and offensive behavior.
However, in September of this year Primo found a fresh start with the Clippers, signing a two-way contract. This move provided him with a chance to rebuild his career and reputation in a new environment.
The 20-year-old shooting guard averaged 7 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 4.5 assists in 23.3 minutes over four games for the Spurs last season.
