Clippers’ Marcus Morris: “This is championship or bust”
The Clippers were one of the preseason favorites to win an NBA championship this season. With the return of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George and the addition of John Wall the team was thought to be good enough to go all the way.
Six games into the season the Clippers are on a four-game losing streak, losing twice against the projected bottom team the Thunder in the process. Forward Marcus Morris thinks that the stakes are high and the players need to take things more seriously this season.
“Right now we just showing up and thinking we can win because of all the names we have and that’s just not the case… This is championship or bust… we shouldn’t be getting outplayed. Blind eyes can see that we are getting outplayed,” Morris said, per Ohm Youngmisuk.
The 33-year-old forward is averaging 14.3 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2 assists in 25.8 minutes per game this season.
