Chris Jones lifts Valencia over Monaco
In a tightly contested match where neither team held a lead of more than three possessions, Valencia secured a narrow victory against AS Monaco on Thursday.
The Orange team emerged triumphant with a final score of 70-65 during the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season Round 1.
Chris Jones played a crucial role, contributing nine of his 14 points in the fourth quarter, including the decisive three-pointer that gave Valencia the lead with just 1:02 remaining on the clock.
“My teammates believe in me,” the Texas native commented on the key three-pointer against the defense of Mike James.
“I don’t really see faces. Just playing basketball. I believe in myself. My teammates believe in me. Just another moment in the game that I was ready for. I am glad I made the shot.”
