Chiefs could miss out on Tyreek Hill replacement if they don’t act now

With the NFL Draft right around the corner, the Kansas City Chiefs need to make a move to try and land Jameson Williams in the first round.

There’s going to be a completely different look for the Kansas City Chiefs next season and fans aren’t ready for life without Tyreek Hill. However, general manager Brett Veach would be wise to aggressively look at a trade to try and move up in the first round of the upcoming NFL Draft.

Why? So the team can beat out the teams in front of them to select Alabama’s Jameson Williams. Williams suffered a torn ACL last season, but he’s ahead of schedule in his recovery. He’d be a perfect fit for the KC offense, but Veach needs to make a move in order to ensure the team can grab him.

The Chiefs must make a move to try and draft Jameson Williams

While some squads might have had some injury concerns on Williams, NFL insider Jordan Schultz is reporting that several teams are quite high on the speedy wideout and they see Williams as a total game-changer.

The former Alabama standout has the ability to spread the field and he’d no question be a fantastic fit for the Chiefs. The thought of Williams catching the ball from Patrick Mahomes brings a smile to plenty of people’s faces in Kansas City.

While that’s fun to think about, it won’t get done unless Veach works his magic and moves up in the draft. As things stand, Kansas City holds the No. 29 and No. 30 picks in the first round. Williams won’t be there when it’s time for the Chiefs to make a call. If Veach wants Williams in town, he better get on the horn as soon as possible.
