Chet Holmgren on Thunder: “We got dudes!”
In a recent appearance on the All The Smoke podcast, Chet Holmgren, the second overall pick in the 2022 NBA draft, opened up about his thoughts on the Thunder and their prospects for the upcoming season.
When former NBA player Stephen Jackson asked about his feelings regarding the team’s future, Holmgren eagerly replied, via Rylan Stiles of Thunderous Intentions, “Man, I am excited. Our management does a great job of putting great guys in the locker room, and also on the staff.” He continued, “I am just so excited because we are all so young, everybody has room to grow.”
When asked about potential breakout players for OKC, Holmgren confidently responded, “We just got so much talent on our team, it is going to be a new guy every single game… we got dudes who did not get the most opportunity last year, or just got with the team when you watch them some games you are just going to realize this guy can hoop, we got dudes!”
Despite missing the entire 2022–23 NBA season due to a Lisfranc injury, the 21-year-old rookie is gearing up for his debut in the 2023-24 season.
