Cavs pick up team option on Lamar Stevens
The Cleveland Cavaliers have picked up their 2023-24 team option on Lamar Stevens, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Stevens will earn over $1.9 million next season, but the amount will remain non-guaranteed until Jan. 10 based on the team’s front office decision.
He averaged 5.3 points, 3.3 boards and shot 44.8 percent from the field for 62 games last season. He has been on the Cavs since the 2020-21 campaign.
The wingman will reach unrestricted free agency next year should he and the Cavaliers aren’t able to hammer an extension.
