How Jennifer Garner Earns “Cool Points” With Son Samuel

It’s not a Yes Day that has Jennifer Garner‘s kids impressed.

The Alias actress revealed what her and ex Ben Affleck‘s children Violet, 17, Seraphina, 14, and Samuel, 11, really think of her movie appearances.

While it ranges from embarrassment to pride, Garner exclusively told E! News’ Francesca Amiker that she did indeed earn “cool points” for starring in Netflix’s Family Switch with The Office’s Ed Helms and Wednesday‘s Emma Myers.

“I watched it with my son in his class,” she said. “The class had a blast. And my son was embarrassed going into it, because he knew what was coming. But then when he saw his buddies having so much fun, he had a great time.”

However, for Garner, the best reaction didn’t come from Samuel.

“The thing that made me the most excited—I mean, I love hearing the kids laugh—but there were a couple of my friends who were moms who were chaperoning this outing,” she recalled, “and they told me after that they cried. And I was like, ‘Yes!'”

When These 2 Sister Wives Marriages Were Really Over

Nothing changes if nothing changes. Just ask these two Sister Wives stars.

While the hit TLC series may have once centered on Kody Brown navigating marriages to four women, the 54-year-old is now down to just one spouse, fourth wife Robyn Brown, and fans have speculated as to why his other wives have left Coyote Pass.

Until now.

Christine Brown announced in November 2021 that she and Kody—with whom she shares children Aspyn, 28, Mykelti, 27, Paedon, 25, Gwendlyn, 21, Ysabel, 20, and Truely, 13—had split up. They had been in a plural marriage, which they never made legal, for 25 years.

Janelle Brown, meanwhile, revealed she and Kody had seperated after almost 30 years of marriage last December. The couple have six kids: Logan, 29; Maddie, 27; Hunter, 26; Garrison, 25; Gabriel, 22, and Savanah, 18.

So, what really happened in their respective relationships that caused them to leave Kody?

“I didn’t realize anything was wrong, until I knew something was wrong,” Christine told E! News in an exclusive interview. “And then I was like, ‘Oh, well, then I’m going to do something different now.'”

The Twisted Story of The Pike County Murders: A Family Massacre

“Our society reveres mothers for taking care of their children and teaching them to do the right thing, even when it’s hard,” Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost said in a statement regarding Angela’s plea agreement. “But by actively plotting the murder of an entire family and encouraging her own kids to carry out the violence, Angela Wagner abjectly failed in her responsibilities.”

George IV was found guilty last December of murder, conspiracy, burglary and tampering with evidence. His brother and mother testified during his trial, Jake confessing on the stand to killing five of the victims himself and wounding a sixth.

Jake testified that George didn’t fire a shot but helped plan, prepare and cover up their crimes.

“Today, the Rhoden and the Gilley families could take some comfort knowing that George Wagner has been convicted, and he will be punished as well his brother Jake and his mother Angela,” DeWine, the former AG who was elected governor of Ohio in 2019, said in a statement at the time.

George, then 31, was sentenced to eight terms of life in prison without the possibility of parole, to run consecutively, plus 121 more years.

Dad Billy remains in custody. He was recently denied a request for a change of venue and a date of May 6, 2024, has been set for the start of his murder trial, according to WXIX.

DeWine said after George was convicted, “Billy Wagner’s fate will also be determined, and I will remain steadfast in my belief that everyone who was involved in these murders will get what they deserve.”

The Pike County Murders: A Family Massacre premieres Friday, Nov. 24, at 8 p.m. on Oxygen, with episode two to follow. The series concludes Saturday, Nov. 25, at 9 p.m.

(E! and Oxygen are both members of the NBCUniversal family.)

When do early Black Friday deals start?

Tons of brands started rolling out Black Friday deals as early as November 1, so you can start saving right now!

Are Black Friday deals really worth it?

The short answer is…yes! Black Friday is known for their doorbuster deals and some of the best savings you can get all year on some of the most popular products in every category.

How much are Black Friday discounts?

On average, discounts range anywhere between 20% and 60% with some brands even offering up to 80% off.

What is Cyber Monday?

Cyber Monday refers to the online sales that many brands began having on the Monday following Black Friday. Originally, the difference was that Cyber Monday deals happened exclusively online.

Are Black Friday deals better than Cyber Monday sales?

Many brands have sales on both days and are on average pretty much neck and neck. You can’t really go wrong with either, plus you can shop from the comfort of your home during both events.

Why is it called Black Friday?

Back in the 1960s, the term Black Friday was used to describe the masses of post-Thanksgiving Day shoppers, where the influx of purchases made many stores’ accounts go from “in the red” to “in the black.”

15 Secrets About the Toy Story Franchise Revealed

11. When the studio initially started planning for a sequel, they envisioned a direct-to-DVD follow-up for Toy Story 2, as a majority of the animators were working on A Bug’s Life. It would go on to score a rare 100 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

12. During production of the sequel, the entire film was nearly destroyed in 1998 when a staffer accidentally hit a button that would erase all the files. When another employee noticed it in the nick of time, 90 percent of the film was still erased and the back-up files were nowhere to be found. Fortunately, Galyn Susman, supervising technical director, had back-up files at her home as she had recently given birth and had been working from home more often.

13. The making of Toy Story 2, especially due to a late overhaul of almost the entire film, was so intense that many animators developed carpal tunnel syndrome, suffered strains and “by the time the film was complete, a full third of the staff would have some kind of repetitive stress injury,” Ed Catmull, the president of Pixar, revealed to the Los Angeles Times.

These 30 Fascinating Facts About Miley Cyrus Can’t Be Tamed

10. After the series ended in 2011—there was also the 2009 big-screen release Hannah Montana: The Movie in 2009—Miley admitted she struggled to find herself.

“Some of my audience was so attached to a character, which wasn’t me,” she told Howard Stern in 2020. “So, then that does a lot of psychological stuff, where it’s like, ‘Am I valuable as myself?’ OK, the whole show’s premise was that when I had my normal hair and looked like myself, no one gave a s–t about me. And then when I got all dolled up and put a wig on, all of a sudden, you know, I’m being chased by people chasing my tour bus. So, that’s a lot to put on a kid—to go, ‘When you’re yourself, no one gives a f–k.’ But then when they go and kind of groom you to look like something else, something that you’re not, and you’re really young, and it’s a lot of makeup and, you know, wigs and all this stuff, it does something psychologically.”

11. It was love at first sight for Miley when she met her first boyfriend Nick Jonas at a charity event in 2006, when they were both 13 years old. “We became boyfriend and girlfriend the day we met,” Miley revealed to Seventeen in 2008. “He was on a quest to meet me, and he was like, ‘I think you’re beautiful and I really like you.’ And I was like, ‘Oh, my gosh, I like you so much.'”

After secretly dating, the couple broke up and Miley admitted she “bawled for a month straight” after their split. “Nick and I loved each other,” she told the mag. “We still do, but we were in love with each other. For two years he was basically my 24/7. But it was really hard to keep it from people. We were arguing a lot, and it really wasn’t fun.”

12. Her relationship with Nick inspired her breakup anthem “7 Things,” with Miley even wearing the necklace he gave her in the music video for the 2008 hit. The couple briefly reconnected in 2009, with their short-lived reunion inspiring The Jonas Brothers ballad “Before the Storm,” which featured Miley.

North West Slams Mom Kim Kardashian’s “Dollar Store” Met Gala Look

Your jaw is bound 2 drop over North West‘s candid criticism.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West‘s daughter proved she’s becoming the next generation’s fashion police, with even Kim admitting on the Nov. 23 episode of The Kardashians that her 10-year-old is “like the new Joan Rivers.”

“All North wants to do is rate people’s outfits,” Kim said in a confessional. “She loves to critique.”

That was certainly the case at the 2023 Met Gala. The episode showed North diss Kim’s pearl dress during a fitting with Schiaparelli creative director Daniel Roseberry.

“There’s way too much gaps in the pearls,” North said. “It looks like she’s a Hawaiian girl with her dress all ripped.”

And after North suggested the pearls looked “fake,” Kim had to set the record straight.

“No, no, I think you’re wrong here,” the SKIMS mogul told her daughter. “These are very expensive, real pearls. I think you need a lesson on pearls. We’re not going for flapper girl—we’re going for vintage, authentic pearly girly.”
