Former Child Star Evan Ellingson’s Cause of Death Revealed

More details on Evan Ellingson‘s death have come to light.

The actor was found dead Nov. 5 at age 35, with authorities discovering his body in his residence, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

Now, a spokesperson for the department’s coroner has released Ellingson’s official cause of death, confirming to E! News that the former child star died of an accidental fentanyl overdose. His death has been ruled an accident.

Ellingson—whose last role was playing Kyle Harmon in CSI: Miami from 2007 to 2010—had long struggled with substance use and marked three years of sobriety before a recent relapse, according to his family.

“He was passionate about pointing individuals to resources for help and only recently relapsed after being prescribed opioids following a dental procedure,” they said in a statement to NBC News Nov. 6. “In the end, he fell in his earthly battle with addiction.”

Remembering his “sweet, child-like spirit” and “smile that could light up a room,” the family said Ellingson “was always thinking of others and wanted to use his own struggles with addiction to help people find hope.”

Julia Roberts Honors Twins Phinneas and Hazel in Sweet B-Day Tribute

Julia Roberts is sharing a personal glimpse at her ticket to paradise.

In honor of her twins Phinneas and Hazel turning 19, the Eat Pray Love star—who also shares son Henry, 16, with husband Daniel Moder—posted an adorable throwback photo of herself holding her twin son and daughter as toddlers.

“There are no words for the joy,” Julia wrote alongside her Nov. 28 Instagram post, “the fun, the wild rumpus of life together.”

After welcoming the couple’s eldest children in 2004, the Academy Award winner has shared rare glimpses into their private world over the years, most recently detailing the “really critical” lessons she and the cinematographer have strived to implement.

“I think it’s our personal responsibility to advocate for ourselves, and I think that my husband and I both are people of strong convictions and opinions and compassions,” she told E! in April 2022, “and I think that we try to instill that in our kids as much by example as by preaching.”

Margot Robbie Proves She’s in Barbie Mode With Doll-Inspired Look

Margot Robbie quite literally got all dolled up for her latest outing.

The Barbie actress may have stepped out of Barbieland in Greta Gerwig‘s blockbuster hit, but she’s still taking style cues from the iconic Mattel toy. While attending the 2023 Gotham Awards in New York City on Nov. 27, Margot wowed in an enchanting black strapless dress from Prada and coordinating sheer cape with a giant bow adornment.

No detail went unnoticed, either. The 33-year-old accessorized with a metallic gold clutch, black latex gloves and matching open-toe mule—a nod to Barbie’s signature heels. Even Margot’s beauty look was doll-like, as she donned a retro-inspired ponytail and barely-there makeup that resembled porcelain skin.

Margot’s all-black look—inspired by Barbie’s 1964 collection—proved you don’t need to dress in head to toe pink to channel the legendary toy IRL.

Just ask Barbie costume designer Jacqueline Durran.

“The main thing is to play with color,” Jacqueline exclusively told E! News in October. “You don’t have to have pink, but have a bold approach to color. And think about it being a head to toe look, so that you’re completely in a style. That will always give you a Barbie feeling.”

Vanessa Bryant Reflects on First Meeting With Late Husband Kobe Bryant

Vanessa Bryant is looking back at how her love story with Kobe Bryant all began.

The wife of the late Lakers legend marked the anniversary of when they met by sharing their first photo together

“24 years ago…. Day 1,” she captioned the throwback on Nov. 27. “#1999 11/27/99.”

Kobe previously reflected on meeting Vanessa on a video set in 1999, back when he was pursuing a music career before reaching basketball stardom.

“It was a two-day video shoot, and I was always looking for her. Like, I wanted to know where she was,” the athlete recalled in his 2015 documentary Kobe Bryant’s Muse. “I would finish a take and then go to my trailer, but I’d wonder where she is the entire time and then come out of the trailer and just want to talk to her some more in between takes and stuff like that. And she wrote her phone number down at the time when you had to still write phone numbers down, and I called her the very next day. We talked for hours.”

Bethany Joy Lenz Reveals Where She Found “Safety” Amid Exit From Cult

“I feel like a lot of the people there, whether conscious or subconsciously,” the Dexter actress recalled, “knew that just their presence and being an encouragement and letting me know that they still love and cared about me in spite of the fact that I was a little weird. That made a big difference.”

She added, “It made me feel like there was a safety. When it came time for me to leave that group, I did still feel like there were many open arms and that felt really, really good and it was very helpful.”

And Bethany wants those who may have experienced similar circumstances to know that they’re not alone.

“There is life after trauma,” she noted. “It was 10 years of pretty intense mental, spiritual, financial abuse. I’m back at square one, and there’s so much shame attached to that, and then so many people that don’t understand. They hear the word, cult, or they think spiritual abuse, and that sounds real hippy dippy, but it is very real and people experience it, not just on a group level, but one-on-one relationships with a partner, or sometimes with family members.”
