Jesse Palmer knows a thing or two about the games of love and football.

Not only is he the host of The Bachelor franchise—and even handed out the roses himself 20 years ago—but he also played in the NFL for five seasons. And while Jesse admits he’s torn over who to root for this Super Bowl as both a former San Francisco 49ers quarterback and a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, he knows exactly how he feels about team Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. 

Put simply: It’s a love story—and baby, he’s saying yes.

“I think it’s been amazing for the NFL,” Jesse told E! News in an exclusive interview. “It’s been amazing for both of their brands individually. I’ve looked at it as a win, win, win, win.”

Although, he admits he initially had some questions about the new romantics.

“I think any fan looking in on it was wondering about its authenticity and, two, if this was gonna distract Travis Kelce on the field and his performance with the Kansas City Chiefs,” the New York Giants alum continued. “And my wife and I were just talking about it this morning, I think it’s so great that it’s a real thing. Like, I believe that. I think it’s a real thing that these two people came together and found out it.”

Usher is ready to let the beat drop at the 2024 Super Bowl Halftime Show. 

But he isn’t the only one. Over the years, icons like Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder and Paul McCartney have graced the NFL’s biggest game. And in recent years, for many of the performers, the 13-minute set marks a major career milestone. 

“I’ve been doing this for 30 years,” Usher told Vogue of his career in an interview published Jan. 18. “I want people who have been a part of that journey to feel like it’s a celebration for everybody, for all of us, from the beginning up until this point.”

And while the anticipation looms over which of his iconic tracks the “Yeah!” artist will play, fans will have to wait until Feb. 11. But even before the show, Usher’s earned the stamp of approval from last year’s halftime talent, Rihanna.

“Usher is a natural,” Rihanna told E! News in December. “He’s a legend. He’s been doing this since he’s a teenager, like he’s made for that show. Usher, you got this, bro. But he knows that. Everyone knows that. He’s meant for this.”

Apparently no one’s been keeping up with Tatum Thompson. 

Khloe Kardashian shared a series of photos of her and Tristan Thompson‘s son on social media Feb. 8, and the 19-month-old is already so tall. 

Clad in camo shorts and a black tee, Tatum stands straight on his mom’s thigh while she sits on a bed in navy PJs for one shot—and the tiny tot’s head surprisingly hovers above The Kardashians star’s own. In another precious snap, the Good American founder wraps her arms around Tatum while they both flash winning smiles for the camera. 

Khloe—who also shares daughter True Thompson, 5, with Tristan—captioned the adorable pics with simply, “Me and my baby.”

And Tatum’s impressive height was not lost on the 39-year-old’s followers, who were quick to comment on her growing boy. 

“He’s so big,” one user replied to the post. “The vans, the curls we can’t take it!!” 

Another user commented, “I’m just realizing he’s gonna tower over you one day lol.”

Cat Janice‘s last dreams are coming true.

The TikToker—who is battling sarcoma, a rare type of cancer that forms in bones and soft tissue—shared her wish to have her music gain traction before she passes, so that her 7-year-old son Loren can keep her legacy alive.

“I’ve got the [rough] news that cancer has won. I’ve fought hard but sarcomas are too tough,” the Washington, D.C.-based musician wrote on TikTok Jan. 6. “Thank you for loving me. Im praying a miracle makes me through this but I think im being called Home.”

Cat, 31, shared that her “last joy” would be for fans to listen to her song “Dance You Outta My Head,” which was released on Jan. 19, so the proceeds would go to Loren.

“My art is all I have to leave behind and im leaving it behind for my son to profit on,” she shared on TikTok Jan. 15, the same day she shared that she’d entered hospice at home. “I don’t have much.” 

Team: Kansas City Chiefs

There are a whole lot of Chiefs fans in Hollywood—and according to the 21 Jump Street alum, they’re all on a group chat together. 

“Paul Rudd, Jason Sudeikis, Eric Stonestreet, Dave Koechner, myself, Brad Pitt, Heidi Gardner, you know, Melissa Etheridge, Dr. Phil, ” he revealed on the Zero Blitz podcast in September. “Go down the line, and, yes, we’re all on the same chain, and, yes, we do talk a lot of smack.”

Veruca Salt is sharing her pain.

The TikToker addressed critics on social media who questioned her grieving process after her 1-month old son, Cash Harrison Stirling, died in his sleep Feb. 5. 

“No hate but I don’t know how people can make tik toks just after their kids have died,” one person commented under one of her videos, “like setting the camera up, voice overs, editing.. I would be in bed for weeks an absolute mess.. RIP.” 

Veruca, 25, responded to the message directly, sharing a TikTok video of herself wrapped in a blanket on Feb. 7. 

“It won’t take long for me to do something for people to say, ‘That’s now how I would act,’ from people who are literally imagining how it would be,” she said. “You have no idea, because your baby is not dead. Mine is. And I found him like that. And it’s not happening to you.”

The Australian influencer (real name Kimberley Summer Hartley) explained that only fellow parents who have lost a child could understand her suffering.

Mark Ruffalo totally lost his poise while filming 13 Going on 30. 

Jennifer Garner revealed that her costar on the 2004 rom-com reached a breaking point during a rehearsal, which almost led the Poor Things actor to drop out of the film entirely.

While honoring the 56-year-old during his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony Feb. 8, Jennifer addressed some of Mark’s other rom-com costars in attendance, noting, “I wonder if these esteemed ladies enjoyed Mark’s anxiety as much as I did.”

And the Elektra star—who later teamed up with Mark again on the 2022 Netflix film The Adam Project—didn’t hold back on divulging the exact scene that allowed her to witness his rare moment of panic. 

“I wonder if he tried to drop out of their films like he did out of ours after the first rehearsal of the ‘Thriller’ dance,” Jennifer continued, “where Mark went from kind of shocked that we actually had to do this, to antsy, to a deathly quiet, to, ‘Bro, this is not for me.'”
