Phoebe Bridgers Shares She Had an Abortion Last Year

Phoebe Bridgers is opening up about her abortion story.

On May 3, the “Kyoto” singer shared that she sought an abortion last year while on her Reunion Tour in support of her second studio album, Punisher. The candid revelation came just a day after a Supreme Court draft opinion regarding the possible overturning of Roe v. Wade—the landmark case which holds that the Constitution protects an individual’s right to an abortion prior to fetus viability—leaked online.

“I had an abortion in October of last year while I was on tour,” Bridgers wrote on Twitter, explaining that she went to a Planned Parenthood center “where they gave me the abortion pill.”

Calling the process “easy,” she continued, “Everyone deserves that kind of access.”

The musician ended her tweet by directing her followers to an article published by The Cut, which listed abortion rights organizations across the nation that are accepting donations. She added, “Here’s a big list of places you can donate to right now.”

Met Gala 2022: How To Wear the Red Carpet & After Party Trends IRL

Ah, the first Monday in May. The first day of the work week is normally rough, but Met Gala Monday fashion gives us the serotonin boost we need to get us through the week, not to mention the incredible style inspiration that will last us all season long.

This year, four trends seemed to emerge: silk, sparkle, sheer fabrics, and feathers. Hailey Bieber floated down the red carpet in a gorgeous white silk gown and robe adorned with feathers, inspired by a YSL look worn by Jerry Hall in 2002. Gemma Chan stunned in a regal Louis Vuitton look. Blake Lively’s jaw-dropping, sparkly gown inspired by New York City included a color transformation on the red carpet. Kendall Jenner wore black sheer looks both on the carpet and to the after party. Emily Ratajkowski and Olivia Rodrigo wore sparkly, colorful looks to the Met Gala. Other sheer standout after party looks included those worn by Winnie Harlow, Camila Mendes, Brooklyn Beckham, and Nicola Peltz.

But possibly the most talked about look of the night was Kim Kardashian’s dress. She wore the sparkling nude translucent dress that Marilyn Monroe wore to sing “Happy Birthday” to President John F. Kennedy in 1962.

The amazing fashion didn’t stop after the red carpet. Scroll below to see stars stun in their after party looks that also featured the sparkly sheer trends.

Stars React to Leaked Supreme Court Draft Opinion About Roe v. Wade

Hollywood is speaking out after a Supreme Court draft opinion regarding the possible overturning of Roe v. Wade leaked online.

The document was published by the outlet Politico on May 2. According to the draft opinion, which has not been obtained by E! News, it was written by Justice Samuel Alito and circulated in February.

The documents indicate that the court may rule in favor of Mississippi in a pending case, called Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, about the legality of the state’s ban on abortion after 15 weeks of pregnancy. According to NBC News, the final decision is set to come in late June or July and the outcome may change. The case challenges the ruling of the 1973 case Roe v. Wade, which holds the Constitution protects an individual’s right to an abortion prior to fetus viability.

“It is time to heed the Constitution,” the documents reportedly state, “and return the issue of abortion to the people’s elected representatives.”

In a statement, Chief Justice John Roberts confirmed that “the document described in yesterday’s reports is authentic” but noted “it does not represent a decision by the Court or the final position of any member on the issue in the case.” He also announced that an investigation into the leak has been launched.

The biggest red carpet fashion event of the year has arrived!

In case you didn’t already guess, the 2022 Met Gala went off without a hitch on May 2. Hollywood’s biggest stars attended the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute benefit, a black-tie extravaganza held the first Monday in May to raise money for the Costume Institute.

Pop culture fans kept their eyes out for a variety of stars including Sophie Turner, Lori Harvey, Vanessa Hudgens, Kacey Musgraves, Katy Perry and many more.

And once the stars debuted their awe-worthy looks on the red carpet, the real party began. Posting on social media was banned inside the event, which includes cocktail, dinner, entertainment and hopefully some good gossip.

Met Gala 2022: See All the Kardashian-Jenners’ Looks

As for Kim Kardashian, she and boyfriend Pete Davidson turned heads during their first-ever Met Gala together, posing for photographs as they made their way up the museum’s iconic staircase. While Pete opted for a classic Dior black suit similar to the one he wore to the recent 2022 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner, Kim rocked a piece of American history in the crystal embellished gown Marilyn Monroe famously had on while singing “Happy Birthday, Mr. President” to John F. Kennedy in 1962.

The SKIMS mogul switched into a replica of the dress, originally created by Bob Mackie, once she was inside the party, according to Vogue.

“I’m extremely respectful to the dress and what it means to American history,” she told the publication. “Everything had to be specifically timed and I had to practice walking up the stairs.”

For more Kardashian-Jenner fashion, keep scrolling for a closer look at the family’s big night out!

Celeb Couples Who Turned the 2022 Met Gala Into the Ultimate Date

The real theme of the 2022 Met Gala seems to be “In America: An Anthology of Celebrity Couples.”

Along with an abundance of headline-making fashion statements, the 2022 Met Gala has also welcomed its fair share of red carpet romance.

Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson, Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker, Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas and more pairs turned this year’s Met Gala into the ultimate date night.

It seems love truly is in the air. The May 2 event, which is officially themed “In America: An Anthology of Fashion,” is even co-chaired by fan-favorite couple Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds.

Blake and Ryan have certainly set the bar high for love birds at the Met Gala. In 2014, the duo stunned at the Met Gala while Blake donned a custom Gucci Première dress and Ryan sported a chic velvet suit. Then, in 2017, Blake dropped jaws in a beaded gold dress that featured rows of blue feathers; Ryan complimented her couture perfectly in a crisp blue suit. (See all the 2022 Met Gala red carpet looks here.)
