It’s no surprise Kristen may need a day to herself. Back in February, The Good Place alum admitted on the Armchair Expert podcast that she and Dax—who tied the knot in October 2013—still allow their daughters to sleep in their bedroom.

Driver had spoken about the experience before, calling it her worst audition in an interview with Backstage in 2018.

“I would categorically put this in some version of the #MeToo world I grew up in,” she said. “The audition was for a chocolate bar commercial. These ad guys never show up to an audition (it’s usually just a casting director), but I went in, and there were 10 guys with their jackets off, one female casting director, a stool, and broken-up bits of candy. Driver continued, “I f–king did it. I knew it was wrong, and I still did it. I was embarrassed and mortified, and I didn’t understand it until years later. The mother of Gabby Petito is seeking justice for her daughter.

On May 6, Nichole Schmidt filed a new wrongful death lawsuit in Florida against the curator of the estate of deceased Brian Laundrie. The lawsuit, obtained by Fox News, seeks damages of at least $30,000. The complaint, obtained by E! News, alleges that Laundrie murdered Petito, and as a direct result, Schmidt and Gabby’s father, Joseph Petito, “incurred funeral and burial expenses, and they have suffered a loss of care and comfort, and suffered a loss of probable future companionship, society and comfort.”

The filing also requests a trial by jury and judgment for compensatory damages.

Laundrie’s attorney Steven Bertolino told E! News that the lawsuit does not come as a surprise.

“The filing of the wrongful death lawsuit by the Petito family was fully expected,” Bertolino said in a statement E! News on May 6. “This lawsuit will most likely not be defended and the Petitos will have gained nothing more than a piece of paper that tells them what everyone already knows—which is that Brian was responsible for Gabby’s death as indicated by the FBI.”

“I have a vision in life, she has a vision in life, and we just kind of merged our visions,” he said. “In this season of life, me primarily supporting her and her dream and her calling, is fun for me. And just knowing how supportive she is of me as well and in the long term.” 

In fact, Sydney revealed, the couple is waiting until after the track and field season to go on their honeymoon.

She added, “We’re still figuring out where we want to go and what we want to do, but we’re definitely not taking that off of the calendar at all.” 

Two weeks before their big day, Sydney and Andre both posted on Instagram a series of gorgeous engagement photos that featured the couple walking through Greystone Mansion and Gardens in Beverly Hills, Calif.

“Everyday you challenge me to grow. Comfortable, or uncomfortable, I wouldn’t have it any other way,” Sydney captioned her post. “Can’t wait to meet you at the altar.” 

In his own post, Andre shared his own excitement for their then-upcoming nuptials.

“Simply put, Andre after knowing Sydney is far better than Andre before knowing Sydney,” he wrote. “Can’t wait to keep growing in love with you. I’ll meet you at the altar Shmoop!”
