The rose has wilted for Michelle Young and Nayte Olukoya.

The couple, who got engaged on The Bachelorette finale in December, announced their breakup on June 17. 

“I’m struggling to say that Nayte and I will be going our separate ways,” Michelle wrote on her Instagram Story, “but I stand with him in knowing the heaviness that is present in both of our hearts as this relationship has been very real for us.” 

The one-time elementary school teacher then addressed her former fiancé directly.

“To you, Nayte, you quickly became my best friend and the love I have for you is incredibly strong,” she told him. “I will never stop wanting to see you succeed.” 

Michelle picked Nayte over Oregonian traveling nurse Brandon Jones during the finale of ABC’s The Bachelorette. She previously appeared on Matt James‘ season of The Bachelor as well.

“I will always acknowledge and appreciate the adventures, support, and growth both Nayte and this experience have brought me,” Michelle continued in her statement. “At the same time, I’m deeply hurting and will need time and space to work through this heartbreak.”

Jennifer Lopez and Emme Maribel Muñiz know how to get a crowd on the floor.

The mother-daughter duo took the stage together to perform a mix of songs at the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation’s Blue Diamond Gala, held at Dodger Stadium on June 16.

For their performance, J.Lo and Emme—who she shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony—delivered a sentimental duet of “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri.

But their moment did not stop there! Emme and Jennifer also sang a verse of “Born in the USA” by Bruce Springsteen, which was accompanied by a video of Emme performing at the Super Bowl in 2020. Emme then led Jennifer into a performance of “Let’s Get Loud.”

And the crowd had plenty to get loud about. An eyewitness tells E! News that Jennifer’s show featured many of her top hits, multiple costume changes, fireworks and Emme by her side.

“It was very sweet,” the eyewitness says. “Multiple times, J.Lo and Emme hugged each other and they were singing to each other most of the time.”

Chris Hemsworth is taking a walk on the dark side.

After playing memorable heroes in movies such as Extraction and as Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the actor is excited to finally tap into his sinister side for the new Netflix movie Spiderhead, in which his character Steve runs a controversial penitentiary. (in other words, he gives inmates drugs to earn a reduced sentence.)

“It may be seen as sinister and manipulative, but he does believe he’s doing it for the betterment of mankind,” the 38-year-old exclusively told E! News’ Daily Pop June 17. “He does believe what he’s doing is just and noble and that left up to our own devices, we’ll destroy ourselves. So, he sees it as himself to play God and intervene.”

One of the film’s experiments conducted by Chris’ antagonist involves a drug that makes people fall madly in love with one another. But unlike his character, the star believes something like that is better left in fiction.

The term “influencer” may be unique to younger generations, but it’s not as if there weren’t similar figures in the ’80s.

If anything, influencers have been around for decades and Murray Bartlett‘s character in Apple TV+’s Physical reminds us of that. 

In episode three, released June 17, Sheila (Rose Byrne) stumbles upon the Vincent “Vinnie” Green (Bartlett) workout studio, where she meets the enigmatic fitness trainer. He’s incredibly toned, has a ton of energy and is passionate about working up a sweat. As he guides students through a cool down, he tells them that his dog died and while seeking comfort, he nearly reached out to three old friends: “sugar, butter and salt.”

“But do you know what I did?” he continues. “I came here instead. It’s one little step toward a healthier, better life.” And just like that, Sheila is hooked on Vinnie’s class. 

On its face, this little speech is meant to inspire students, but Murray told E! News, “It’s part genuine, part manipulation.” 

While Rafael Nadal has made history throughout his tennis career, he’s about to enter his most exciting chapter yet: fatherhood.

The Spanish athlete, whose amassed 22 Grand Slam titles over the years, confirmed in a June 17 press conference that he and wife Mery “Xisca” Perelló are expecting their first child together. “If all goes well,” he said, per People, “I’m going to be a father.”

Though the 36-year-old, who tied the knot with Perelló in Oct. 2019, tends to keep his off-court life private, he did tell reporters, “I don’t know what will change in my life because I don’t have experience [with fatherhood], but I don’t think it will change my professional life.”

In fact, Nadal confirmed in the same Mallorca press conference that he plans to play in the upcoming 2022 Wimbledon Championships later this month. It will be his first appearance at the tournament in three years.

Mathis Family Matters is without a doubt the feel-good show of the summer, but that doesn’t mean the new series shies away from serious topics. 

Judge Greg Mathis, Sr. and his eldest son, Greg Jr., spoke exclusively to E! News about one such topic: Greg Jr.’s tendency to hide his sexuality. As the family patriarch explained, “Greg and I had an [onscreen] discussion about him not sharing his sexuality or being gay with the general public, his friends and others.”

“I thought he had because he shared it with us at age 18 and moved to Washington, D.C. and has been there for over a decade and that’s a gay-friendly town,” Judge Mathis continued. “So I was shocked that he hadn’t, and there are moments there that are very emotional in the sense that I let him know that he has to fight.”

What shocked the longtime television personality even more, he said, was one of the reasons Greg Jr., 33, hadn’t publicly come out: Not just for fear of people criticizing Greg Jr., but also, his father.

E!: Do you know what your son is going to post before he does it?

RL: No! It’s in real time—and sometimes it’s super mean! But it’s always funny, I gotta give it up. He’s a little wiseacre, as my grandmother and grandpa used to say. 

E!: And how does that translate to TV?

RL: So we figured out, what is the math of it, because we’re not going to play our actual selves on the show. So from his point of view, it’s a father that he rolls his eyes over, who he feels doesn’t have a great grasp of the world. And I play a tech guru, Elon Musk-esque, who everybody just falls all over for every eccentric, cool, odd thing—and he is the one person who can talk truth to power.

E!: So is Rob Lowe going to be working all summer?

RL: No, I had four weeks. I took my wife to Bora Bora, it was beautiful, and now I’m back on the literal and actual treadmill of work. I start our fourth season of Lone Star in September. I figured out a way to do comedy with Unstable, which will come out next year, and Lone Star, which is drama. It’s an actor’s dream.

“I wanna say God is good and thank you to EVERYONE for your prayers throughout this pregnancy & birth!” Cory began his post, adding that both parents “can’t wait to bring her home & show her the love that she needs.” (The two are also parents of 2-year-old daughter Mila, and Cory is also dad of 5-year-old daughter Ryder with ex Cheyenne Floyd).

In his post dedicated to Maya, Cory explained that although he debated on whether his family would share this news, he ultimately wants to help those who may be going through similar circumstances.
