Stalter, who joined Downs for the interview, defended that Kayla was just “reading the energy,” adding, “She wasn’t like, ‘We have to hook up!’ She was like, ‘Are we hooking up?'”

“I think she’s about vibes,” she explained. “And she thought she caught a vibe and she’s wrong. I don’t think she could possibly look at herself and be like, ‘I came on to my boss.’ I think she was like, ‘Me and my friend were about to hook up.'”

So, what’s next for the rocky duo? Downs teased that Jimmy and Kayla “do find themselves together in a new way.”

Known for his flawless falsetto, despondent lyrics, and slow-grooving backbeats, the 32-year-old from Toronto, Canada, has wowed listeners for over a decade now with a seemingly never-ending string of hits such as, “Wicked Games,” “Blinding Lights,” “Call Out My Name,” “I Can’t Feel My Face” and, most recently, “Out of Time.”

Now, ahead of the Billboard Music Awards, it’s officially time for Starboy to shine once again.

She’s just a girl reclaiming her spot on The Voice.

Gwen Stefani confirmed in a TikTok video on May 13 that she’ll be returning as a coach on The Voice this fall, meaning she and husband Blake Shelton will reunite on the set of the NBC singing competition that sparked their romance.

She posted a video of herself in a neon green hoodie singing the song “Grace Kelly” by Mika, joining the chain from Blake and John Legend that read, “#duet this if you’re going to be a Coach on #TheVoice this fall.” 

Blake has been a coach since the show began in 2011, with Gwen joining in 2014 for season seven. She appeared off and on over the years, most recently departing after season 19 ended in December 2020. She finished on a high note when her contestant, 15-year-old Carter Rubin, won the show.

Gwen and the country star found love on The Voice, with Blake’s rep confirming to E! News in 2015 that they were dating. The duo got married in August 2021 at Blake’s Oklahoma ranch.

G Flip will one day be in the market to expand their family.

The Australian singer—who recently struck up a romance with Selling Sunset‘s Chrishell Stause—reflected on wanting to raise a family.

“I definitely see children in my future,” G Flip shared while on the May 13 episode of the People Every Day podcast. “Right now, me and Chrishell know where we are in the stages of our lives. And we’re very transparent about that.”

G Flip, 27, went on to share that they have “always loved kids” and many years of their career were spent teaching.

“I love children,” the artist said. “I was a music teacher for years before I became a session drummer and then a solo artist.”

When it comes to timing, G Flip only said it will be “in the future.”

And while having kids may be something saved for the later, G Flip gushed over Chrishell’s presence in their life today—something they feel will last “forever.”

“I’m very fortunate to have her in my life,” they said. “We both feel like we’ll be in each other’s life forever. We have like a very strong connection that you don’t find every day.”

 

This party just keeps getting better!

John Cho and Ken Jeong have joined the cast of Apple TV+’s murder mystery comedy The Afterparty, E! News confirms.

Cho will play a character named Ulysses and Jeong will play a character named Feng. That’s about all we know so far, but hey, consider us RSVP’d.

The two actors join an already illustrious list of newbies for season two. The Office star Zach Woods, Weeds star Elizabeth Perkins, Hacks star Poppy Liu and PEN15‘s Anna Konkle have already accepted invites.

Season one cast members Sam Richardson, Zoë Chao and Tiffany Haddish will all return for more mystery. Paul Walter Hauser, Jack Whitehall and Vivian Wu round out the ensemble.

Haddish is back as Det. Danner, who is on the case of another murder, this one at a wedding, according to the streamer. Sam and Zoë will reprise their roles of Aniq and Zoe from season one, which took place at the afterparty of a high school reunion.

The first season boasted a similarly-stacked ensemble featuring Dave Franco, Ben Schwartz and Ilana Glazer. 

Leaked Instagram stories, viral tweets, and a solo sting operation are just a few of the elements at play in the ongoing U.K. libel case between Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy, the wives of two prominent British soccer stars. 

On May 10, the so-called Wagatha Christie case officially went to trial in London’s High Court, nearly two years after Rebekah, 40, first sued Coleen, 36, for defamation back in June 2020. 

In a witness statement on May 13, Coleen said that she was “glad to have put an end” to Rebekah leaking others’ private information to the press after she caught the fellow soccer wife “betraying” her “red-handed” in a self-described “sting operation.” 

If you haven’t been following the trial up until this point, we’ve got you covered. It all kicked off in October 2019, when Coleen—who is the wife of former football player and Derby County F.C. manager Wayne Rooney—accused Rebekah, who is married to Leicester City athlete Jamie Vardy, of leaking false stories about her to the British tabloid The Sun in a now-viral tweet.  

E!: What are some of the biggest mistakes people make preparing to self-tan or spray tan?
IA: I think one of the biggest mistake people make is that they exfoliate right before their appointments or they’ll take a shower with lots of soaps. You should be exfoliating and preparing your skin 24 to 48 hours in advance and that also includes shaving. The number one cause for streaks in any spray tan or self-tanning application is the razor residue that was leftover from shaving right beforehand. You shouldn’t shave right before tanning.

You need to do all your skin preparation the day before because if you do not, your pores are wide open. Sometimes, if you shower and exfoliate right before your spray tanning or self-tanning appointment, the chances are the self-tan or spray tan will not achieve its dark color because your pores are wide open.

E!: Is part of that because showering changes your pH levels? 
IA: Yes because it takes several hours for your pH levels to get back to its normal range after a shower. The amino acids and your pH are softening the skin when you shower in warm water. Applying tanner or spray tanning right after a shower is really going to reduce the darkness that could be achieved compared to if you showered the night before instead.

E!: What about that first shower post-tan? What are some things to keep in mind so we don’t mess up our tans?
IA: It needs to be warm water and you should really take your time in there, especially if you are using a tanner that has a cosmetic bronzer, which is usually the brown stuff that you see come off in the shower. You aren’t taking off the tanner, you are taking off that bronzer when you shower. You really want to take your time and lather yourself with your hands (no soap) and just make sure there are no watermarks.

A lot of people say “my tan is so streaky” and that’s often because they didn’t take the time to fully wash that bronzer off in the shower. Rinse until that water trickling down is clear and free of bronzer. That’s how you know you’ve fully rinsed. 

Your tan will continue to develop for 24 hours, which is why we encourage people to not use soap for that first shower.

Get ready for a lot of creative sword work!

Elite star Miguel Bernardeau has been cast in Prime Video’s Zorro, according to Variety. The reboot series is a modern take on the famed masked crusader, a fictional vigilante whose roots trace all the way back to 1919. 

Bernardeau’s Zorro “will be shaped by relationships from his youth, love and disappointment in love which will forge his development as a character and reflect a kind of masculinity far from stereotypes,” according to Secouya Studios, who is producing the show. 

The announcement got us scratching our heads a bit, and we asked ourselves: Why does this sound so familiar?

Well, as it turns out, this is the third Zorro adaptation announced in the last five months!

Wilmer Valderrama is set to star in a Disney live-action Zorro series. “I’ll tell you this: This will be a Zorro for this generation,” Valderrama said on The Drew Barrymore Show May 9. “And it’ll be incredibly thoughtful with its origin story, and it’ll be grounded in authenticity.”
