Back in 2018, Richard and his wife, Mary Forrest, opened up about their son’s condition during an appearance on Today. At the time, the couple recalled how they came to learn of Henry’s diagnosis. Richard explained that after taking him to multiple doctors, they made the choice to do a full genetic scan.

“I called the doctor and he said, ‘We found something and It’s very, very severe and it’s lifelong, not treatable,” Richard said, later adding, “It was the worst day of my life.”

And while the family has continued to remain strong against all odds, Richard has recounted better days as well since then.

In an essay Richard wrote for Today published in 2019, the NBC News chief foreign correspondent shared that Henry had called him “Dada” for the first time.

“I finally got a ‘Dada,” he wrote. “It was a long time coming, which made it all the sweeter — an unexpected reward.”

Richard later added, “To parents with typically developing children, a little Dada may not seem like a big deal. But for me it was a validation, an acknowledgement that he’s in there, knows me, knows that his mother and I are forces for good in his life, and above all, that he loves us.”

Nothing can keep this saxophone player from making it to the America’s Got Talent stage.

Avery Dixon‘s emotional performance on the season 17 premiere of America’s Got Talent on May 31 brought host Terry Crews to tears and brought the Brooklyn Nine-Nine actor to press the golden buzzer. 

Terry shouted on his way from backstage to the judges table, “There’s no need to vote!” 

“Avery Dixon, you touched the heart of every human being in this building right now,” he said. “And I want to tell you, man, you’ve been bullied all your life, but you tell every bully that you have a big brother named Terry Crews who is here, who’s got your back. And all those bullies are gonna have to watch you succeed, my friend.”

Avery, 21, shared before his golden-buzzer worthy performance that he got bullied throughout elementary school for his voice and shape of his head.

The Grammy-nominated musician said he doesn’t mind how people react to his content because he’s just being himself and he’s just happy to see people react. 

“I would be more offended if somebody opens up my TikTok and they have no opinion about it, if they were indifferent,” he said. “I want them to be either very angry about it or in love with it.”

When he isn’t showing off his sexual prowess on TikTok, he’s giving fans an inside look to how he makes his music. For instance, he took fans behind-the-scenes of “Light Switch,” a song off his third studio album, Charlie.  

“I was taking myself too seriously, and TikTok kind of humbled me in a way—some videos wouldn’t do as well as other videos, and some songs wouldn’t be received as well as some other songs,” he said. “I got that information in real time. It wasn’t, ‘Oh, well, I have 16 million followers so I’m great no matter what.'”

When it comes to honoring her fiancé, Jennifer Lopez just nailed it.

In a post shared by celebrity manicurist Tom Bachik, Jennifer’s hand now has a new reminder of her romance with Ben Affleck—aside from her giant engagement ring that is.

As seen in the photo, the “Let’s Get Loud” singer’s nails feature a natural base-coat, a gold heart on her middle finger and a “J” initial paired with a “B” initial on her index finger.

Tom captioned the picture-perfect set, “If you know… then you know Jen and Ben forever #couplesgoals for the boss @jlo #nailsbytombachik.”

Likely before these nails even had a second to dry, fans fled to the comment section to show some praise for this loved-up manicure.

One user wrote, “Bennifer forever!!!! I LOVE IT!!” Another chimed in, adding, “This is amazing.”

And Jennifer isn’t the only one who has honored her significant other with a spot on their nails. Just last week, Kim Kardashian shared her hot pink manicure on Instagram complete with a “P” initial made from crystals. Naturally, fans in her comment section pointed out that the sparkling letter was a sweet homage to Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson.

Turns out Jeopardy! wasn’t all fun and games for LeVar Burton.

Following the death of long-time host Alex Trebek in 2020, the Reading Rainbow star was in the running to be chosen as Jeopardy!’s replacement host. The role ultimately went to former executive producer Mike Richards—who was fired after allegations of sexist comments—and then to Mayim Bialik and Ken Jennings.

Now, the author is opening up about not being chosen for the position, revealing that he was “not just disappointed, but wrecked.” 

“Experiencing a very public defeat, humiliation, if you will, was sobering,” Burton told Newsy’s In the Loop in an interview. “I didn’t expect that I would not be their choice for host.”

Part of the hurt had to do with the fact Jeopardy! was Burton’s “favorite game show” that he had watched since he was a kid. “I honestly thought that I was well-suited for it,” he says. “As it turns out, it really wasn’t a competition, after all, the fix was in.”

Jeopardy! did not respond to E! News’ request for comment.

Long (facial) hair, don’t care.

Cole Sprouse sent shock waves across social media when he debuted a dramatic new look on Instagram.

“Please swipe bb girl,” the 29-year-old captioned a series of selfies on May 30 showing him sporting a long bushy beard and mustache.

He also appeared to be wearing a period costume featuring an oversized button-up shirt and high-waisted trousers.

“omg” commented his Riverdale co-star Vanessa Morgan, while photographer Damon Barker joked, “I can smell you from here.”

Another follower quipped that the actor seemed to be serving up a pandemic-inspired vibes, writing, “Jesus I didn’t realize we’d been in lockdown this long.”

No word on whether Cole’s scraggly makeover is for a new film or TV project, however he did recently say he was ready to move on from Riverdale and “wrap it up with a bow.”

“I’m not a creative force behind [the show],” he told GQ magazine in March. “I actually have no creative control. We show up, receive the scripts often the day of, and we’re asked to shoot.”

But while Jonathan is away, Nancy and ex-boyfriend Steve (Joe Keery), reconnect while investigating Hawkins’ latest mystery. Though nothing happens between the former flames, it’s clear that there is a lingering connection between the two.

Of course, this left us wondering: Who will Nancy ultimately end up with? So, we took this question to the source and asked the stars of Stranger Things to weigh in on this love triangle.

Refusing to give anything away, Keery stayed coy while chatting with E! News’ While You Were Streaming, noting, “We don’t really know what’s going to happen.”

In fact, Keery assured E! News readers that they are in the dark too, stating that the creators, The Duffer Brothers, “don’t tell us anything.”

Nonetheless, Keery was just happy to have screen time again with Dyer, who was equally thrilled with this reunion.  “These are two characters who have gone through a lot,” she explained to E!. “They really care about each other, so its really nice to see…them interacting again.”

Jamie Lee Curtis could not contain her excitement after her youngest daughter, Ruby, tied the knot.

Over the weekend, the Halloween Kills star shared a few photos on Instagram from inside her 26-year-old daughter’s cosplay wedding with her new wife Kynthia. In the May 29 post, captioned “WIFE IS SWEET,” Jamie shared an image of herself posing in between the newlyweds as they were all decked out in costumes. In another post, she wrote, “YES THEY DO AND DID! MARRIED!” alongside a photo of the brides leaning in to share a kiss in front of the guests.

After the epic festivities wrapped, Jamie—who also officiated the ceremony—shared an image of herself posing with something that her fans are used to seeing killer Michael Meyers carry in their infamous Halloween movies—a butcher knife. “YOU CAN’T MAKE THIS UP!” she wrote as she held the cake-covered knife in her hand. “The ONLY thing left over at the end of this entire BEAUTIFUL wedding, after everything was taken away was this f–king BUTCHER KNIFE they cut the tiramisu wedding cake with! WIFE IS SWEET!”

Model, beauty mogul, momager, lifestyle guru and now…chef? Yes, the Kardashian-Jenner family may be expanding their empire thanks to Dream Kardashian.

With help from mom Blac Chyna, the 5-year-old whipped together a tasty looking peach cobbler, which was documented in a May 30 Instagram video. After Dream listed off the ingredients, she helped pour them all into a dish and mix everything together. Although, Chyna did have to remind her and Rob Kardashian‘s daughter not to eat the cake mix. Hey, we’ve all been there. 

Though the final dessert looked delicious, it was Dream’s maturity that got fans talking. “BabyGirl is growing up so fast Chyna,” one follower wrote. “Too gorgeous.” Added another, “Awwww Dreamie Getting Sooo Big.”

The mother-daughter moment shared online comes about a month after a verdict was reached in Chyna’s defamation lawsuit against members of the Kardashian-Jenner family, including Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Kylie Jenner and Kris Jenner.
