Carson Wentz doesn’t need you to roast him, he’ll do it himself

Carson Wentz’s return to the starting job for the Commanders went so horribly against the Browns that he ended up burning himself in a postgame interview.

Commanders fans can put their hopes of making it into the playoffs to bed. Depending on who you ask, they have Carson Wentz to thank for that.

Wentz retook the starting job from Taylor Heinicke and threw three interceptions, including one on his second attempt of the game. That turnover had fans chanting Heinicke’s name.

After the game, a reporter asked Wentz about his picks. His response was brutal.

Carson Wentz roasted himself after loss to Browns

“Which one?” the quarterback had to ask.

The self-own on that one may have been unavoidable.

Wentz finished with 143 yards, no passing touchdowns and three interceptions. He did punch in a short touchdown on the ground.

The Commanders needed more from their defense as well as their quarterback but teams rarely win when they give the ball away three times.

Washington wasn’t eliminated with the 24-20 loss directly, but it wasn’t long before the Packers’ victory over the Vikings did the job.

Finding out that head coach Ron Rivera didn’t know his team could be eliminated was the cherry on top of a pretty miserable day for Commanders fans.

The question now is whether they’ll have to endure another game with Wentz at the helm or if they’ll get to see 2022 draft pick Sam Howell take the field for the first time when they battle the Cowboys to finish the season.
