In a report by Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun Times, it has been revealed that the Bulls are keen on keeping Nikola Vucevic as a vital part of their future plans. The organization, under the leadership of executive vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas, is actively engaging in contract extension negotiations with the 32-year-old center.

Vucevic, who averaged 17.6 points, 11 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game last season, became an unrestricted free agent after the expiration of his previous $100 million contract. With the Bulls determined to solidify their roster, they are looking to secure Vucevic’s services for the next three years.

Despite the challenges faced by the team, including limited future draft assets and underachieving talent, Karnisovas is committed to continuity rather than pursuing a complete rebuild. The Bulls are also hopeful for Lonzo Ball’s recovery from multiple knee surgeries.

By prioritizing Vucevic’s contract extension, the Bulls demonstrate their belief in his ability to contribute significantly to the team’s success moving forward. As negotiations progress, the organization aims to lock up the skilled Montenegrin center, providing stability and a strong foundation for their future endeavors.
