Bradley Beal set to assume starting point guard role for Suns at training camp
According to a report by Shams Charania of The Athletic, Bradley Beal is slated to begin the 2023-24 training camp for the Suns as the team’s starting point guard. This comes after Beal’s trade from the Wizards in a blockbuster deal that solidified Phoenix’s star-studded roster.
With Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and now Bradley Beal, the Suns boast an impressive trio of superstars. However, given the surplus of talent in the backcourt, new head coach Frank Vogel has decided to experiment with Beal at the point guard position.
The move showcases the Suns’ commitment to maximizing their offensive firepower and flexibility on the court. Beal’s scoring prowess and playmaking abilities make him an intriguing option to orchestrate the team’s offense alongside Booker.
With Jordan Goodwin set to provide support as a reserve point guard, the Suns’ backcourt depth is further solidified. The training camp will provide an opportunity for Beal to establish chemistry with his new teammates and embrace his expanded role.
