Bindi Irwin Honors Parents in Heartfelt Anniversary Message
Bindi Irwin is paying tribute to her parents.
The 24-year-old commemorated what would have been her parents’ Steve and Terri Irwin’s 31st wedding anniversary with sweet note reflecting on their love.
“A love like this is eternal,” Bindi wrote in her June 4 Instagram post alongside a beachside photo of the pair leading against a truck. “Happy Anniversary to my extraordinary parents.”
In the years since Steve’s tragic passing following a stingray bite in 2006, Bindi and her family—including mom Terri and brother Robert—have kept the Crocodile Hunter host’s memory alive. And for Bindi and her husband Chandler Powell, this includes paying homage through their daughter Grace.
“When Grace was born my first words as I held her in my arms were that she’s our ‘graceful warrior,'” Bindi told Hello! Magazine in an interview from April 17. “Chandler and I immediately knew that should be her name. The name Grace Warrior suits our daughter perfectly and feels like the perfect way to honour the greatest Wildlife Warrior to have ever lived, my dad.”
