Katie Thurston is sharing an update on her health journey.
Less than a week after the Bachelorette alum opened up about her breast cancer diagnosis, she shared insight into her road to recovery and how she’s been faring amid the doctors’ visits and procedures.
“Finished biopsy,” Katie wrote over a video posted to her Instagram Stories Feb. 19. “Went much better this time. Explained my last appt struggles and asked for more numbing.”
With a CT scan and consultation also planned for later in the day, the 34-year-old shared that she has been trying to find small ways to make the painstaking treatments and tests a little more tolerable.
“I still cried,” Katie said in the video, “I don’t even know why I bothered to put mascara on today, but the numbing was much better and the music suggestions you guys gave and all the recommendations helped a lot.”
One of the biggest comforts, however, was that her fiancé Jeff Arcuri—who she has been dating since May 2024—has been right by her side every step of the way.
