Apex Legends is about to make Storm Point feel very small

Godzilla is coming to Apex Legends with a transformed Storm Point, a heat-ray weapon, themed skins and a limited event running from November 10 to December 1.

Storm Point is getting a visitor too large for the dropship. Godzilla arrives in Apex Legends on November 10, beginning a limited-time crossover that changes the map, adds a heat-ray weapon and fills the reward track with kaiju-inspired cosmetics.

The event runs through December 1 and is tied to the theatrical release of Godzilla Minus Zero. EA says players cannot defeat the monster itself. Instead, squads fight through the destruction it leaves behind while still dealing with the usual, considerably smaller threat of rival Legends.

What changes on Storm Point

The event version of Storm Point includes damaged buildings, burnt trees and debris from Godzilla's attack. The creature remains visible above the battlefield and periodically fires its Heat Ray.

There is a risk-reward mechanic inside the blast zone. Players who enter before the beam lands can reach a care package containing a custom Devotion. EA says the weapon's heat-ray effect tracks enemies after a hit, turning a dangerous piece of the map into a potential power spike for the squad willing to gamble on timing.

This is still Apex rather than a standalone boss encounter. The monster changes the space and creates opportunities, but other players remain the immediate enemy. Anyone expecting a traditional raid in which the lobby empties magazines into Godzilla should reset that expectation before launch day.

Free track, premium track and random drops

The event pass includes challenges and a free set of rewards such as badges, crafting metals, event packs and the Jet Jaguar Octane skin. A 950 Apex Coin premium track adds more cosmetics, including a Ghidorah-inspired Catalyst skin and a Gravity Beam Prowler skin.

EA is also introducing the Dorsal Dagger universal melee item, designed around Godzilla's dorsal fins. The announcement says it can appear in event packs, after which its matching death box can be unlocked. Players should therefore distinguish guaranteed pass rewards from items tied to randomized packs before spending.

The wider cosmetic collection draws from several versions of the franchise, with skins inspired by Mothra, Mechagodzilla, Destoroyah, SpaceGodzilla and multiple eras of Godzilla. The official page also lists ten themed legendary weapon skins.

Twitch rewards and timing

From November 10 to 17, selected Twitch streams will offer drops. Watching for 30 minutes unlocks a weapon charm, while 60 minutes earns a tracker set, provided the viewer's EA and Twitch accounts are linked.

The crossover is a large visual swing for Apex Legends, but its smartest idea may be mechanical: Godzilla is not merely a skin shop backdrop. The Heat Ray changes where squads move, when they take risks and what they may find if they survive the blast.
