All the best videos as Trabzonspor win Turkish Super Lig

 

A host of remarkable footage has surfaced online this evening, on the back of Trabzonspor’s historic Turkish title win.

For those not aware, Abdullah Avcı’s troops were back in action a short time ago.

Having opened up a whopping eight-point advantage at the division’s summit amid something of a bizarre campaign in the Turkish top-flight, Trabzonspor welcomed Antalyaspor to Medical Park Stadyumu, in the knowledge that anything but a defeat would see them clinch a first league title in 38 years.

And, when all was said and done, avoid defeat is precisely what the Karadeniz Fırtınası went on to do.

A pulsating 90 minutes ultimately saw strikes on the part of Andreas Cornelius and Dorukhan Tokoz prove enough to guide Trabzonspor to a share of the spoils in a 2-2 stalemate.

Celebrations well under way

And so, it was made official… Trabzonspor have defied the odds to secure a first Turkish Super Lig title since the 1983/84 season.

It should therefore come as little surprise to hear of the scenes both inside Medical Park Stadyumu and across the city of Trabzon as a whole proving an absolute sight to behold late on Saturday night.
