Aaron Rodgers didn’t hold back his frustrations on Packers sideline

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was not happy during the first half of their Week 1 game against the Minnesota Vikings.

The Green Bay Packers have had an eventful offseason, which was highlighted by the overhaul of the wide receiver room. But, the team still has Aaron Rodgers at quarterback, the back-to-back NFL MVP. Even with the influx of young wide receivers, you could never rule him out in Week 1 against the Minnesota Vikings.

Instead, the Packers got off to a disastrous start, as they trailed the Vikings 17-0 heading into halftime. Minnesota’s star wide receiver Justin Jefferson recorded six catches for 158 yards and two touchdowns in the first half alone. Meanwhile, the Packers were unable to get anything going on offense.

Rodgers was shown on the sideline during the second quarter, and he looked upset.

There was a chance for the Packers to get on the board. In the first quarter, rookie second-round pick Christian Watson broke away from defenders along the right sideline and had an easy jog into the end zone. Rodgers threw him a pass that was right on the money. The issue is, that Watson dropped it.

To make matters worse, Rodgers threw a pass intended for Randall Cobb downfield, but it was picked off by Vikings safety Harrison Smith. This is Rodgers’ first interception thrown against an NFC North team since 2019.

In the first half, Rodgers completed 8-of-15 pass attempts for 76 yards and the aforementioned interception.

The Packers had a rough start last year in a 38-3 season-opening loss to the New Orleans Saints. In the 2022 opener, Green Bay is not having a fun time against Minnesota.
