Pelicans’ Trey Murphy nearing season debut
The New Orleans Pelicans are hopeful that Trey Murphy, entering his third year, will play his first game of the 2023/24 season against San Antonio this Friday, as reported by Shams Charania and Will Guillory of The Athletic.
After undergoing surgery in September to address a partially torn meniscus in his left knee, Murphy has successfully recovered from the injury, as confirmed by Charania.
This imminent return is positive news for New Orleans, especially considering the team’s earlier struggles with multiple injuries to key players this season.
With CJ McCollum’s recent comeback, Murphy’s presence will further enhance the Pelicans’ prowess in outside shooting.
