Mexico’s aspirations of giving Lithuania a competitive challenge were swiftly dashed within the initial 10 minutes of play at the Mall of Asia Arena.

In a decisive move, Lithuania amassed 32 points during the first quarter, propelling them to a comfortable 96-66 victory.

Securing their passage to the Second Round with an unblemished record of two wins, Lithuania has also managed to secure Montenegro’s advancement with a game left to play.

Yet, as the outcomes from this phase will carry forward, both Lithuania and Montenegro must maintain their drive for their upcoming Tuesday clash in Manila. Their shared objective is to secure a flawless 3-0 record as they enter the next stage of the competition.

Rokas Jokubaitis rebounded from a slow start, scoring 15 points and providing 7 assists for Lithuania after a tough game against Egypt.

Jonas Valanciunas entered the World Cup rebounding Top 10 and secured his second double-double in three editions, grabbing 15 and 12 rebounds respectively.
