Luka Doncic leads Slovenia’s extended roster for FIBA World Cup

Slovenia national team announced the list of 19 players on its extended roster for 2023 FIBA World Cup. Luka Doncic is the biggest start on the roster.

He is one of two NBA players on the list – the other is Vlatko Cancar who won the championship with the Nuggets this year.

There are two naturalized Americans on the team – Mike Tobey and Jordan Morgan. There can only one naturilzed player on the final roster.

The full Slovenia’s extended roster: Jaka Blazic, Sasa Ciani, Vlatko Cancar, Jakob Cebasek, Ziga Dimec, Luka Doncic, Gregor Glas, Gregor Horvat, Urban Klavzr, Aljaz Kunc, Miha Lapornik, Jurij Macura, Blaz Mahkovic, Jordan Morgan, Aleksej Nikolic, Bine Prepelic, Klemen Prepelic, Ziga Samar, Mike Tobey.

The Slovenians will start their World Cup campaign in Group F (Okinawa Arena, Okinawa City, Japan) alongside Cape Verge, Georgia and Venezuela.
