Grant Williams reacts to Joel Embiid stomping on his head
Grant Williams experience a gruesome-looking incident in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the 76ers.
Midway through the 4th quarter Boston led 100-92 when Williams and Jaylen Brown fell on floor after trying to steal the pass that was directed to Joel Embiid.
This year’s league MVP jumped to avoid collision and landed on Williams’ head, pressing his face to the floor.
“Dang, I really got curb stomped,” the 24-year-old power forward said after watching the video of the incident, via Chris Forsberg.
Williams avoided injuries and played for the majority of the remaining 5 minutes of game. The Celtics won the game 114-102 and now lead the series 2-1.
