Darvin Ham addresses Lakers’ loss vs. Pelicans

The Lakers lost the second half of the game against the Pelicans by 16 points and ended up losing the game 126-131.

Los Angeles head coach Darvin Ham talked about what went wrong for his team in the second half that resulted in the loss.

“Their push was basically all energy,” Ham said after the game. “When you look at they were able to do in that third quarter in transition, they got some key offensive rebounds, second chance points.

“But that third quarter we just stopped guarding. Again, just being able to take, when you play really good first 24 minutes, you go in, you look at few things on film you got to able to remember what you did well, try to have the mindset to correct the few things you did wrong and come out with a purpose, with a sense of urgency. Obviously, we weren’t able to do that.

“That one quarter gave them life. You have two All-Star caliber players with Brandon [Ingram] and CJ [McCollum], active Larry Nance, good young player Herb Jones, good shooter [Trey Murphy III] just being able to understand that and the way they got their points.”
