The alleged exposing that Josh Primo made has eventually prompted the San Antonio Spurs to call it quits.

A source told Tom Orsborn of the San Antonio Express-News that the Spurs let go of Primo due to those swirling allegations. It was initially reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and Ramona Shelburne that the former lottery pick was facing this concern upon the complaint imposed of the team’s former female employee.

“He has issues,” the source told Orsborn.

In an unexpected fashion, the Spurs cutted their ties on Primo last Friday, sending shockwaves across the league circles. The ball club only released a note announcing their decision, but no provision of reasons on the unforeseen move.

“It is our hope that, in the long run, this decision will serve the best interest of both the organization and Joshua,” Spurs CEO R.C. Buford said in a statement.

On his part, Primo provided his personal note via ESPN, citing mental health treatment as a motive to take a break.

On Sunday, Gregg Popovich maintained his unresponsive stance with regards to San Antonio’s cryptic release of Primo and his reported sexual misbehavior on former female staff. Popovich was flooded by inquiries in pregame availability of their eventual win against the Minnesota Timberwolves, but he reiterated that he is sticking to the franchise’s official statement.

“I think under the circumstances, I think it’s inappropriate for me to say anything beyond what we have already put out for our statement,” Popovich said.
