Demi Moore can see more than ghosts—she can see the future.
The 61-year-old recently reflected on the moment of clarity she had at the 2025 Oscars, where she was the frontrunner for Best Actress for her work in The Substance, right before losing the trophy to Anora’s Mikey Madison.
“I leaned over and whispered to my manager, ‘I think it’s going to Mikey,’” Demi told Time in an article published April 16. “I don’t know why I knew, but I did.”
But while the G.I. Jane star—who was also nominated alongside Fernanda Torres, Cynthia Erivo and Karla Sofía Gascón—noted that it “certainly would have been wonderful to have won,” she doesn’t view her loss as a failure. In fact, she feels it means her story isn’t over.
“I was so centered and calm,” she continued. “I didn’t feel gutted. I didn’t feel any of those kinds of things. I just trusted, and am in trust of, whatever is going to unfold.”
Following the ceremony last month, Demi—who shares daughters Rumer Willis, 36, Scout Willis, 33, and Tallulah Willis, 31, with ex-husband Bruce Willis—celebrated the end of awards season by indulging in fries with her kids and sending a sweet message to her team.
