Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and actor Pawan Kalyan, landed in Hyderabad with his family from Singapore on Saturday night. His son Mark Shankar who was injured in the fire accident that broke out in a school in Singapore is presently recuperating. Amid these developments, Pawan’s wife Anna Lezhneva Konidela visited Tirupati on Monday. Lezhneva got her head tonsured and later took part in the Suprabatha Seva, and offered special prayers to Lord Venkateswara. The authorities at the TTD welcomed her, and after performing the pooja, they handed over the prasadam.

The pictures and videos of Lezhneva’s visit to Tirumala are being widely shared on social media. Fans, Jansena party activists and well-wishers have been sharing the videos. The photos of her signing a declaration before proceeding to Tirumala are also doing the rounds.  Anna Konidela is a Russian orthodox Christian by faith. But according to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) rules, people from another religion offering prayers at Tirumala should sign a declaration form at Gayatri Sadan in the presence of temple officials declaring her faith in Lord Venkateshwara prior to her visit and participation in the rituals. Many are appreciating her for following the protocols and procedures despite being the wife of deputy chief minister. Lezhneva came alone and completed all the formalities.

Many on social media are stating that Lezhneva’s visit could be part of fulfilling her vow to visit Tirupati and get her head tonsured after her son Mark Shankar was out of danger and returned safely. “In keeping with the tradition, Anna offered her hair at Padmavati Kalyana Katta and participated in rituals,” a press release from Janasena party said. Last week, Pawan Kalyan, Chiranjeevi and wife jetted off to Singapore after they learnt about Mark Shankar’s injury during the fire accident. After initial first aid, the seven-year-old underwent bronchoscopy treatment for smoke inhalation.
