Paris St-Germain manager Luis Enrique is convinced his side will overturn a 1-0 first-leg deficit at Anfield and go through at Liverpool’s expense in the Champions League round of 16.
Harvey Elliott scored the 87th-minute winner within seconds of coming on and visiting goalkeeper Alisson produced an outstanding performance as the Reds established a first-leg advantage at the Parc des Princes despite a dominant display by the Ligue 1 leaders.
“Right now, it’s difficult to think about the match in a positive way,” Luis Enrique told TNT Sports. “We clearly deserved to win; we created a lot of chances.
“It’s one of our best Champions League [performances] this season. The best player was their goalkeeper, Alisson. Football is, many times, unfair, and we have to accept that.
“We are ready to [go to] Liverpool. We don’t have anything to lose. Liverpool created one or two chances maximum, and we created a lot.”

PSG vs Liverpool
New PSG signing Khvicha Kvaratskhelia curled in a classy opener from inside the box after 20 minutes, only to have the finish ruled out.
The £59 million January arrival and forward Ousmane Dembele, who has six goals and one assist in this season’s competition, were persistent threats as Paris piled on the pressure almost throughout.
Alisson denied both players as PSG lost despite having 28 of the 30 attempts between the sides and 65% of possession.
Elliott stuck from Darwin Nunez’s pass as Liverpool won the game with their only attempt on target.
“Of course, we are going to do it” 👊

Liverpool vs PSG ‘our last chance’
“Of course we are going to do it,” Luis Enrique replied when he was asked if PSG will advance. “I feel proud of my team, players and the supporters. We have our last chance and we are going to think about that in a positive way.”
Liverpool are next in action at home to the bottom side in the Premier League, Southampton, on Saturday (3pm GMT), while Paris’ Ligue 1 game at Rennes starts an hour later.
PSG visit Liverpool on Tuesday (8pm GMT), with the winners facing Club Brugge or Aston Villa in the quarter-finals. The Villans established a 3-1 lead in their away first leg of that tie on Tuesday.
