Pete Davidson is the king of serious movies.

As the Saturday Night Live alum continues to move forward in his career following a 2023 rehab stay, he shared that he’s focused on expanding his résumé to include more dramatic work.

“I would love to do more serious stuff,” Pete exclusively told E! News Feb. 26 at the New York City premiere of his new movie Riff Raff. “It’s a lot of fun. I’m really enjoying it.”

The 31-year-old—who stars in the crime flick alongside Bill Murray, Jennifer Coolidge and Gabrielle Union—added, “Usually, I’m the pothead friend or the guy that helps the guy get the girl in the movie. So, to be able to hold a gun and play a serious guy was a lot of fun for me.” (For more from Pete’s interview, tune into E! News tonight, Feb. 27, at 11 p.m.)

And while the King of Staten Island star is hopeful to switch from strictly doing comedy, it’s not the only major change in his life recently. Since 2020, Pete has been removing the hundreds of tattoos he had gotten throughout his life—a process he admitted has been “horrible” at times.
